The body of a Hillsborough man was found in a Durham lake on Sunday.
Durham Police identified the deceased as 76-year-old Harold Huston Wood, of Hillsborough, on Monday morning.
Authorities initially said on Sunday that a body was been located by a fisherman in the water near the Lake Michie boathouse. Officials say the body has now been sent to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
While deputies with the Durham Sheriff’s Office responded to the initial call, Durham Police have been leading the follow-up investigation.
