One individual was killed in a crash in Chapel Hill that forced the closure of Fordham Boulevard Tuesday morning.
Authorities said the individual was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle crash near the intersection with Sage Road. Other individuals injured in the crash were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
One northbound lane of Fordham Boulevard was left open during the morning commute, but traffic was at a crawl as emergency officials were on the scene beginning just before 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. Northbound lanes were closed entirely from 9 a.m. to just before 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
