Both school districts in Orange County are operating on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, January 2, due to cold temperatures.
There is no threat of inclement weather, but the delay is due to “extreme temperatures” that are forecast for Tuesday morning. Temperatures are expected to be in the teens until around 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Orange County School officials said that staff will report on a normal schedule. Chatham County Schools and Durham Public Schools will also operate on a two-hour delay Tuesday.
