Chapel Hill – Carrboro City Schools will close two hours early on Friday due to a threat of severe weather.
Friday was initially scheduled to be a teacher workday, but the district chose to make Friday a normal operating day to make up for a snow day in December.
Severe weather is expected to move through central North Carolina Friday afternoon and into the evening.
