As part of the continuing East Rosemary Street redevelopment project, the Town of Chapel Hill announced a section of the street will be reduced to one lane due to construction.
The section in question is between the intersections with North Columbia and Henderson streets, according to a release on Friday. The closure will take place on weekdays starting on Monday and running through Friday, October 22.

Construction work will begin each weekday at 9 a.m. and end a 4 p.m. Flaggers will be on-site to direct motorists through the site, and the Town of Chapel Hill recommends pedestrians avoid the area.
The East Rosemary redevelopment project began in late July with the removal of a pedestrian bridge, and intends to add an 1,100 square-foot parking deck and a 200,000 square-foot office building to the area. The Wallace Parking Deck and 125 East Rosemary Deck are both set to be demolished as part of the project.
