**UPDATE** Chapel Hill Police have released surveillance video from the night of the alleged sexual assault. Police are asking for public assistance in identifying the man seen in the video below.

Chapel Hill Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault that occurred early Friday morning.
Authorities said that the assault took place in the parking deck of the Shortbread Lofts apartment complex on West Rosemary Street around 3 a.m. Friday.
Police said the suspect was described as a black male, wearing dark clothing and estimated to be 5 feet 8 inches tall.
A police K-9 unit and officers canvassed the area looking for the suspect, but the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information regarding the alleged assault is asked to call Chapel Hill Police at (919) 968-2760 or 911. Calls can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (919) 942-7515 and calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
