Chapel Hill Police are investigating a reported sexual assault.
Police said in a release that the alleged incident occurred just after 7:30 Thursday night “in a wooded area near Drew Hill Lane,” which is near Notting Hill Apartments in northern Chapel Hill.
The victim described the suspect as be a black male between the ages of 18 and 25. Police say the suspect is estimated to be between 5’ 10” and 6’ 1” with a medium build.
The suspect had a flattop haircut with a dot pattern cut into the sides and back, according to police. Authorities say the suspect was last seen wearing a maroon colored t-shirt and gray jogging pants.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at (919) 942-7515. Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous and callers may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
