The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has charged two men in connection with “numerous incidents of breaking and entering throughout the county.”

Authorities recently told WCHL the area was seeing an uptick in residential break-ins across Orange County. Law enforcement officials said it is believed the break-ins are being carried out by “these suspects and several accomplices.”

The two men arrested were 31-year-old Leron Kelly Owens and 27-year-old Andre Marquis Owens.

“It is believed they are traveling through multiple counties utilizing multiple vehicles,” sheriff’s office officials wrote in a social media post.

Authorities recently said there were break-ins in Guilford, Alamance, Orange and Durham counties with similar characteristics. In most cases, the suspects were stealing jewelry, cash and firearms from homes, while leaving electronics.

“Most of the suspects and vehicles have been identified from neighboring jurisdictions,” read the post from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities are asking residents to call 911 if they see a suspicious vehicle or individual. If you have any other information regarding the string of residential break-ins, you are asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (919) 245-2900.
