A new breakfast option will be available to Chapel Hill residents next year.
Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken announced Tuesday it will be opening its first-ever Chapel Hill location in March of 2022. The restaurant will open in the Eastgate Crossing Shopping Center on East Franklin Street.
The Eastgate location will be the eighth Rise restaurant to open in the Triangle. Other locations include Rise Carrboro at 310 East Main Street, Rise Southpoint in Durham and Rise Brier Creek in Raleigh.
“We are thrilled to bring our updated concept to Chapel Hill and to build a new store model we believe is the future of Rise,” Rise CEO and founder Tom Ferguson said in a statement. “Rise is committed to integrating technology with our culture. We embraced online ordering well before COVID-19 and have been working hard to streamline operations and allow our customers a fast and efficient way to enjoy Rise. The heated food lockers were introduced in our Carrboro and Durham stores last year, and customers love the contactless convenience when they pick up their order.”
Rise was born in the Triangle region, with the first location opening in Durham in 2012. Since then, the biscuit kitchen has expanded to sixteen locations across North Carolina, as well as Kansas, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee and Oklahoma.
Rise Eastgate will be the first Rise restaurant to open in the Triangle in four years, according to the chain. Its business hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. According to the release, Rise Eastgate will not have indoor seating as other locations do.
