Snooze A.M. Eatery will become the latest restaurant to open its doors in Chapel Hill. The Denver-based breakfast eatery will debut its first Triangle-area location when it moves into Eastgate Crossing. Snooze will occupy the space between CorePower Yoga and the Birkenstock store.

According Raleigh’s Midtown Magazine, Snooze originally announced plans to move to the Triangle in November 2019. The restaurant originally intended to come to Raleigh, but those plans were halted by the pandemic.

“We are so excited to open our first Chapel Hill location this fall and become a part of the amazing community after actively pursuing this area for around four years,” said Callie Sumlin, public relations supervisor for the restaurant chain. “We will partner with local non-profits for our ‘Grow to Give’ soft openings  and continue to give back through various events throughout the year. We think our thoughtful, crave-able breakfasts will be right at home next to UNC.”

The restaurant expects to open sometime during the fall, and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

The Chapel Hill location is Snooze’s fourth in the state of North Carolina, with the other three all located in the Charlotte metro area. The majority of Snooze’s locations are in Texas, California, Arizona and Colorado.

Snooze first opened its doors in 2006. Its menu includes a wide variety of spins on breakfast cuisine, including flights of pancakes, breakfast pasta and breakfast fried rice. Snooze also offers multiple drink options, such as Bloody Marys and margaritas.

“We specialize in innovative breakfasts made with responsibly sourced, fresh ingredients and are dedicated to bettering communities and the planet through thoughtful breakfast experiences and by following a robust set of sustainability guidelines,” Sumlin said.

Snooze is the third new restaurant to open in Eastgate Crossing in the last 12 months, joining Shake Shack and Rise Biscuits. Other breakfast options in the shopping center include Bruegger’s Bagels, Starbucks and Guglhupf Bakery.
