A new location of Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken is set to open in Chapel Hill within the next two weeks.
This latest edition of the popular and Triangle-founded breakfast chain will open on Saturday, March 19 in Eastgate Crossing. It will be the eighth Rise location in the Triangle area, but its first within Chapel Hill. It will also be one of the first Triangle locations to open since the death of Rise’s founder Tom Ferguson in February.
Rise serves southern-style biscuits, chicken, donuts and Counter Culture coffee. Customers can order online or through the kiosk in the store.
A release from Rise said the new location will hold its grand opening at 7 a.m. on March 19. Free t-shirts will be given to 100 customers beginning at 11 a.m. Additionally, the restaurant says 10 percent of all opening day sales will be donated to the Ephesus Elementary School PTA.
The new Chapel Hill location will have no indoor seating. Eastgate Crossing has an outdoor patio table space shared by all customers at Eastgate.
Other Rise locations surrounding the county are located in Carrboro and Durham. Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
