The popular Chapel Hill restaurant Breadman’s has announced the date for its grand opening at its new location in town.
Earlier this year, Breadman’s informed customers that it would be moving from West Rosemary Street to a new home at 261 South Elliot Road. The grand opening of a new restaurant under new ownership will take place on Friday, September 18 beginning at 7 a.m.
The original restaurant on West Rosemary Street, named Breadmen’s, has been closed for several months as it transitions between locations.
“Breadmen’s is relocating,” a sign on the door of the restaurant reads. “Please look for us in our new location Summer 2020. We have stopped our operations so that we can focus on our new location. We hope to be ready to open our doors in July 2020.”
The change in name to Breadman’s comes with the change of ownership, according to the restaurant.
In accordance with North Carolina executive orders regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, Breadman’s will be open for outside patio seating, take-out with curbside pick-up and dine-in seating. Restaurants in North Carolina are currently allowed to open for dine-in customers with limited capacity.
261 South Elliott Road was previously the home of Haw River Grill, which is now permanently closed.
