The UNC Police Department shared Wednesday it is searching for a suspect in an assault that reportedly took place at the Old Well on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Campus police shared a pair of photos of the suspect on its social media accounts, showing them wearing a mask and holding a rainbow umbrella. According to UNC Police’s crime log, an assault was reported at the UNC campus landmark at 5:41 p.m. on Oct. 7. A copy of the incident report filed to the university’s police department said the assault stemmed from the suspect “grabbing the arm” of the reporting party, and there was no type of weapon used.
UNC Police asked that anyone with information about the incident or suspect to contact Detective Lynch at 919-843-6165.
