A free testing event in Hillsborough is slated to help Orange County residents check to see if they’ve contracted COVID-19.
The Orange County Health Department is continuing its partnership with StarMed Healthcare to conduct free testing events around the county amid a recent increase in cases during August. On Monday, the partnership will host one at the Whitted Human Services Center, located 300 West Tryon Street.
According to the county, Monday’s event will run from 1 p.m. through 5 p.m. The tests will be nasal swabs and will be entirely free. Residents who wish to be tested for the coronavirus can register on-site and will receive their test results back in an average of three days.
This testing event follows others held recently in Chapel Hill, as the health department continues to measure the impact of several clusters originating from UNC’s campus within the broader community.
Flyers distributed for Monday’s free COVID-19 testing event in Hillsborough can be found on the Orange County website in both English and Spanish.
