The UNC men’s basketball team received some good news on Monday morning, as it received a commitment from four-star prospect Kerwin Walton to join what was already a stacked recruiting class of 2020.

Walton’s decision also comes less than a week after guard Jeremiah Francis announced his intentions to transfer out of the UNC program.

A 6-foot-5-inch wing from Hopkins High School in Minnesota, Walton joins a UNC recruiting class which includes five-star forwards Day’Ron Sharpe and Walker Kessler, five-star guard Caleb Love and four-star guards R.J Davis and Puff Johnson.

24/7 Sports has Walton ranked as the No. 99 overall player in the the country regardless of position.

With his commitment, UNC’s incoming class is now ranked No. 3 nationwide.
