The full schedule for the defending national champion UNC men’s basketball team was released on Thursday, with the Tar Heels officially opening their regular season on Nov. 10 at home against Northern Iowa.

Prior to the opener, UNC will host its annual Late Night with Roy preseason event on Oct. 13 and hold an exhibition game vs. Barton College on Oct. 27.

In total, the Tar Heels will play 13 non-conference games before kicking off ACC play on Dec. 30 at the Smith Center against Wake Forest.

Bucknell, Michigan, Tulane, Western Carolina and Wofford will join Northern Iowa in making trips to Chapel Hill.

UNC will travel to Portland over Thanksgiving weekend for three games as part of the PK80 Tournament, which honors Nike founder Phil Knight’s 80th birthday.

The Tar Heels will play the University of Portland on Thanksgiving Day, and could face some combination of either Arkansas, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Depaul, Michigan State or Oregon in their next two games–depending on the results.

Other road trips for UNC include going to face Stanford in Palo Alto, Tennessee in Knoxville and Davidson in Charlotte.

The non-conference schedule then wraps up on Dec. 23 when the Tar Heels face off against Ohio State in New Orleans as part of the CBS Champions Classic.

It’s the first time since the ACC began in 1953-54 that UNC will not play a non-conference game after Christmas.

As far as conference opponents go, the Tar Heels are scheduled to play Duke, NC State, Clemson and Notre Dame two times apiece.

Boston College, Miami, Georgia Tech, Pitt and Wake Forest will get one shot at UNC, which will come at the Smith Center.

The Tar Heels will hit the road for their lone matchups against Florida State, Louisville, Syracuse, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Four of UNC’s final six regular season games will come away from home.

The ACC Tournament will then run from March 6-10 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

In total, 27 of UNC’s 32 scheduled games will be televised on either an ESPN network or on CBS–with WCHL broadcasting each game live on the radio.
