Noodles & Company recently announced they had a security breach that may have compromised the security payment information of some guests who use credit and debit cards.

The security breach took place at a number of their locations across the country including the one on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill.

Noodles & Company reported in a release that the incident took place between January 31, 2016 and June 2 and cards used at the affected locations are no longer at risk.

The information that was at risk includes the cardholder’s name, card number, expiration date and CVV.

What started off as an investigation of unusual activity in their credit card processor back in May, resulted in Noodles & Company discovering suspicious activity on their computer systems.

Kevin Reddy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Noodles & Company, said in a release that they take the security of their guests very seriously and apologize for the incident.

“We continue to work with third-party forensic investigators and law enforcement officials to ensure the security of our systems on behalf of our guests.”

Noodles & Company encourages all guests to review their financial account statements and report any unauthorized purchases or suspicious activity.
