Have you ever heard that every curse is followed by a blessing? I believe we are experiencing the blessing that follows the curse of the dreaded national election result.

Not since the 1960’s have Americans exhibited such an uprising against unpopular aggression. Back then the sit-ins, demonstrations and marches against racism and the Vietnam War forged a bond across the country. People stood up to our leaders to let them know that change was needed.

Now we are seeing marches, not just in the USA, but across the world against what could be called tyranny. The “Muslim ban” has brought thousands of people to our airports to show support for those being victimized.

Bravo, Carroboro. Bravo, Chapel Hill. Bravo, Hillsborough. Bravo, America. Let’s continue with this blessing to demonstrate for love, not hate.
