Despite missing the NCAA Tournament in each of the past two seasons, the UNC baseball team responded in 2017 with a resurgence back to being one of the top squads in America.

That work was recognized Monday with the release of the All-ACC teams, which included six different Tar Heels.

ACC Pitcher of the Year JB Bukauskas was one of four UNC players to be named to the All-ACC First Team–joining shortstop Logan Warmoth, centerfielder Brian Miller and closer Josh Hiatt.

Freshman starting pitcher Gianluca Dalatri found a place on the All-ACC Third Team.

Despite winning the conference Freshman of the Year award, designated hitter Ashton McGee couldn’t quite earn a spot on either of the first three teams–settling instead for a spot alongside Dalatri on the All-Freshman Team.

The Tar Heels posted a 44-11 record in 2017, on the way to the ACC Coastal Division championship, the No. 2 seed in this week’s conference tournament and the No. 2 national ranking.
