CHAPEL HILL–The No. 12 Tar Heel women are back on the home hardwood Thursday night as they welcome Coastal Carolina into the cozy confines of Carmichael Arena for a 6 p.m. tipoff.

The two teams will be facing off for the ninth time in the last decade. The Tar Heels sport a perfect 10-0 head-to-record against the Chanticleers at Carmichael.

UNC will be looking to improve on its 2-1 record and build off the momentum gained in the road win at UCLA Sunday.

Freshman guard Allisha Gray was named ACC Rookie of the Week Monday after putting up back-to-back double-doubles against quality competition. She posted 15 points and 10 rebounds in the Tennessee game and followed that up with 30 points and 10 boards against UCLA.

As a team, Carolina leads the ACC in turnover margin, a good sign for the future. The Tar Heels are forcing an average of 22.7 turnovers per game.

Thursday night, fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to Carmichael Arena. It will go to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign.

Carolina’s game against Coastal Carolina will be broadcast live at 6 p.m. on 97.9 FM, WCHL and streamed right here online at Chapelboro.com
