Despite going 4-0 this past week, the UNC baseball team remained at No. 20 in the most recent edition of the D1Baseball.com Top 25–which was released Monday morning.

The Tar Heels are coming off a dominant series sweep over former UNC assistant coach Scott Jackson’s Liberty Flames this past weekend, and a 10-0 mid-week victory over High Point last Tuesday.

It wasn’t enough to overcome the team’s 3-5 start to the year, however, a skid that helped slide UNC from No. 6 all the way back to No. 20 in last week’s top 25.

The top five teams in the country remained the same once again this week, with defending national champion Florida holding onto the No. 1 spot.

Oregon State, Texas Tech, Florida State and Arkansas make up the rest of the group.

Rounding out the top 10 is a list of teams that includes: No. 6 Kentucky, No. 7 Stanford, No. 8 TCU, No. 9 Ole Miss and No. 10 Texas A&M.

Florida State is the highest ranked team from the ACC, and joins the Tar Heels as one of five teams from the league among the top 25.

Clemson sits at No. 12, with No. 13 Louisville and No. 17 Virginia representing the ACC’s other three ranked squads.

UNC will be back in action on Tuesday when it hosts VCU at Boshamer Stadium before traveling to face Louisville for a three-game series between ranked teams this weekend.
