Jerry Passmore is Friday’s Hometown Hero.

For decades, he was the director of the Orange County Department on Aging.  Recently, the Central Orange Senior Center was re-named in his honor.

“I’m just pleased and humbled by this experience,” Passmore tells Ron Stutts.  “The most important thing is the wonderful people that I’ve had the opportunity to work with over the years that have really made the senior centers what they are today.”

Remember when it wasn’t cool to be old, but now it is, with our shifting population.  People are just living longer

We have so many wonderful senior citizens who contribute in a variety of ways to life here in Orange County!
