This week’s Hometown Hero is Jennifer Ashley, the executive director of A Helping Hand. This non-profit companion care provider has been committed to assisting seniors and individuals with disabilities maintain self-sufficiency, quality of life, and the highest level of independence since 1995.

“Basically what we do is we go into the home of older adults and we provide essential services, vital services, that allow people not only to age in place, but to be able to access important vital things like medical care and escorted medical transportation and grocery shopping.”
