Welcome to “People Caring for People,” a monthly interview series made possible by Piedmont Health. In this series, we hear from health care professionals about the most significant health issues facing our community, and the services available for people who need them.
In this month’s installment, Aaron is joined by medical nutrition therapy dietitian Meredith Parvin. It’s holiday season, and that means we’re constantly surrounded by unhealthy temptations when it comes to eating and drinking. How can we maintain healthy eating habits, while also taking part in all the festivities? Parvin offers a few suggestions: how to adjust your own recipes to make them a little healthier; how to keep your eyes on the prize at the grocery store; and how to avoid overdoing it at parties. (Parvin also discusses some of the diet-related offerings at Piedmont Health.)
