Fresh off claiming the title at the ITA National Indoor Championships last week, the UNC women’s tennis team is the new No. 1 team in the country–according to the latest Oracle/ITA rankings, which were released on Thursday.
The Tar Heels defeated UCLA 4-0 in Monday’s final, claiming the fourth indoor national title in program history.
UNC is currently 10-0 this season, with six of those wins coming against ranked opponents–including three ranked among the top six.
Both Tar Heel tennis teams–men’s and women’s–are now ranked No. 1 in the nation.
