This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Colleen Lanigan from the Special Olympics Orange County!

“She has the ability to create a community within the community,” said John Eloise. “The Special Olympics of Orange County — it’s one of the largest special Olympics in the state.

“Colleen, she works tirelessly, she works hard. She does not consider it a nine to five job at all. She is there every night at an event and she’s not there to micromanage. She’s there to see all of her coaches, volunteers, and athletes and make sure that they’re having a good time.”
