Inside Lacrosse magazine, as part of its annual Face-Off Yearbook, released its preseason top 25 poll on the women’s side–ranking UNC No. 3 in the nation to start the 2019 campaign.
Sophomore attacker Jamie Ortega is expected to lead the Tar Heels this season, as they look to build off last year’s run to the NCAA Tournament Semifinals.
UNC is also coming off its third consecutive ACC championship.
Boston College is the top-ranked team in America to start the year, while Maryland sits at No. 2.
Following the Tar Heels is No. 4 James Madison and No. 5 Stony Brook.
