A trio of UNC women’s golfers were named to the All-ACC Academic Team on Thursday, the league announced, recognizing the top players in the conference for their efforts both on and off the course.

Bryana Nguyen, Brynn Walker and Kelly Whaley each made the cut for the team, which honors outstanding athletic and academic performance.

Nguyen and Walker are each Media and Journalism majors, while Whaley is studying Exercise and Sport Science.

Players must have a 3.0 grade point average in their previous semester–as well as throughout their cumulative college career–in order to qualify for the All-ACC Academic Team.

Duke’s Leona Maguire was named the ACC’s Scholar Athlete of the Year in women’s golf, while Florida State led all schools with four players selected to the team.
