The NCAA announced the 16 regional hosts for the upcoming NCAA Baseball Tournament on Sunday following the conclusion of conference tournament play, with UNC earning the distinction for a second consecutive season.

Boshamer Stadium will once again play host to opening round play, the 10th time in program history it has done so–and ninth time since 2006.

Last season saw the Tar Heels bounced early in front of their home crowd, however, as the lowest-seeded team in their bracket–Davidson–used a pair of upsets over UNC to earn the Super Regional berth.

History has typically been kind to the Tar Heels at home during the NCAA Tournament, though. The team has an overall record of 23-7 in Chapel Hill during regional games.

While earning the right to host the regional means UNC is guaranteed an at-large bid into the tournament field, the full list of 64 teams and the regional pairings will be released Monday during the NCAA Selection Show.

That show will be televised on ESPNU from noon until 1 p.m.
