The UNC football program announced Monday that the school has agreed to contract extensions with head coach Mack Brown and all 10 full-time assistant coaches.

Brown’s extension maintains the same terms as his original deal–at $3.5 million per year–but was extended to run through 2025. Each assistant coach was given a three-year deal.

In addition, wide receivers coach Lonnie Galloway has been promoted to assistant head coach and running backs coach Larry Porter will serve as the special teams coordinator.

Over the last two seasons, Brown has taken a UNC program that won five games combined in 2017 and 2018 and won 15 games. The Tar Heels also capped the 2020 season with a spot in the Orange Bowl, the program’s first major bowl appearance since 1950.

Brown is currently the winningest active head coach in college football, with his 259 career victories ranking seventh on the FBS all-time list.

“We’re proud of what our football program has accomplished over the last two seasons,” UNC Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham said in a statement released by the school. “Carolina Football is on a great trajectory, and much of that can be credited to our coaches. We’ve worked hard to build continuity with this staff, and we’re seeing the benefits of that on the field, in recruiting, and in the community. We are excited to watch this talented coaching staff continue to lead this program forward.”
