After a dominant win over NC State, Carolina hits the road to face off against Virginia — a team that has given the Tar Heels trouble in recent years.

Last year, Virginia came to Chapel Hill and left with a 38-31 victory after star quarterback Bryce Perkins accounted for nearly 500 total yards.

This year — without Perkins — the season has been a little more difficult for the Cavaliers. Virginia sits at 1-4 on the season and has used a combination of quarterbacks in an attempt to replace Perkins’ production.

For as much success as Carolina has had this season, Mack Brown still wants to see if his team can take their talents on the road. It was only two weeks ago that the Tar Heels lost in Tallahassee to heavy-underdog Florida State.

“Saturday night we’ll learn, have we learned how to handle success?” Brown said. “It’ll be very obvious. It’s one of those, you ask me, I don’t know. We’ll know after we see the game on Saturday.

“Will we handle road games better?” he continued. “We haven’t handled the two road games we’ve had near as well as we have home games. And that usually happens, especially with new programs and inexperienced teams. You have to learn how to win on the road.”

North Carolina is a 4-point favorite over Virginia at the time of publishing.
