After a highly successful 2020 season, UNC travels to Miami to play in the Orange Bowl against Texas A&M.
The Tar Heels will be without several of their top players — including wide receiver Dyami Brown, running backs Michael Carter and Javonte Williams, and linebacker Chazz Surratt. All four are top NFL prospects who opted out of the game to focus on the upcoming draft.
But UNC will still have quarterback Sam Howell under center and an offensive line that helped pave the way for Carter and Williams to become two of the most productive players in the country.
UNC is a five-point underdog to Texas A&M at the time of publishing.
Meanwhile, UNC basketball takes the court on Saturday against Notre Dame. The Tar Heels lost to Georgia Tech earlier this week and are 0-2 in the ACC for just the sixth time in program history.
Kickoff/Tip Off Time
Kickoff for the UNC-Texas A&M football game is scheduled for 8 p.m., while tip off for the UNC-Notre Dame basketball game is scheduled for 4.
Broadcast Schedule
97.9 The Hill’s broadcast schedule is a bit different today.
Our coverage of UNC vs. Texas A&M begins at 5 p.m. with the Inside Carolina Live pregame show. At 7, our broadcast will switch to the UNC football pre-game show with Jones Angell and the Tar Heel Sports Network.
Following the game, 97.9 The Hill will carry an hour long post-game wrap-up show followed by “On the Heels.”
Because the football game overlaps, 97.9 The Hill will not broadcast the UNC vs. Notre Dame basketball game. If you want to listen to the basketball game live, a feed will be available on GoHeels.com.
You can find our broadcast of the game on 97.9 FM and 1360 AM or streaming online on Chapelboro.com.

The basketball game will be available on the ACC Network.
What if I don’t have cable?
A live stream for both games will be available on ESPN’s digital platforms.
Additionally, several cord-cutting options carry ESPN and the ACC Network.
YouTube TV prices at $50/month and carries all of ESPN’s channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, etc.) as well as the ACC Network.
Hulu TV goes for $45/month and includes all ESPN channels, but does not carry MLB Network, NBA TV, NFL Network or NFL Red Zone.
Sling TV is the cheapest at $25/month, but includes the fewest channels. Make sure to avoid Sling Blue, as that package does not carry ESPN.
