A thrilling 8-6 win over the Oregon State Beavers in Saturday’s College World Series opener moved UNC into the winner’s pool in its four-team bracket, where the Tar Heels will face off against Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs won a 1-0 defensive battle against Washington in Saturday’s late game to earn their shot at UNC, with that game scheduled for Monday at 7 p.m.

Monday will also see Oregon State take on Washington at 2 p.m. in an elimination game, as one of those two teams will represent the first team sent home from Omaha.
