In its first mid-week road game of the season, the 15th-ranked UNC baseball team put together a late offensive surge to grab an 11-4 win over the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks.

The Tar Heels (14-4) scored four runs in the first inning, but the Seahawks (10-8) quickly tied things up by scoring two apiece in the second and third innings.

From there, the game remained tied until UNC scored seven times over the final three frames to take control of the proceedings.

Ike Freeman drove in two of those runs with an eighth-inning double, while Brandon Martorano picked up three of his team-high four RBIs in the game with a ninth-inning home run.

Connor Ollio was credited with the win on the mound for the Tar Heels, his first as a collegiate player.
