After picking up a series win at home against arch-rival Duke, Coach Mike Fox and his 11th ranked UNC baseball team will now take their 10-4 record on the road yet again. This time they’ll be in Conway, South Carolina on the campus of Coastal Carolina University for a showdown with the 9-6 Chanticleers.
The Tar Heels have used a balanced offensive attack and some electrifying starting pitching performances to come out of the gates strong in 2015.

Six members of the everyday line-up are batting at least .286 for UNC, led by shortstop Wood Myers and first baseman Adrian Chacon at .333. Freshman Brian Miller has frequently come off the bench to pinch hit, coming up clutch more often than not, on the way to a team high .391 average.
On the mound, starting pitchers Zac Gallen and JB Bukauskas each put on a show in their games against Duke over the weekend. Gallen recorded 12 strikeouts in seven innings during Friday’s win, while Bukauskas delivered his best performance of his freshman year, striking out eight Blue Devils in six shut-out innings on Saturday.
The Chanticleers will provide an interesting match-up for the Carolina pitching staff, as their hitters have smashed an impressive 15 home runs this season. Tar Heel pitchers, on the other hand, have given up just one.
Action is set to begin at 4 P.M. Starting pitchers have yet to be announced.
