The Senior Bowl released its annual watch list this week, with over 400 players from different levels of college football finding their names included.

UNC quarterback Brandon Harris, left tackle Bentley Spain and cornerback MJ Stewart represented the Tar Heels on the list.

Each year, 110 players are selected at the end of the season to compete for a spot on the North or the South rosters in the Senior Bowl–which is a collegiate all-star game that doubles as a chance for NFL scouts to gain valuable information on prospects ahead of the draft.

Seniors who are not on the initial watch list can qualify themselves for the game with outstanding work on the field.

Although head coach Larry Fedora has yet to formally name a starting quarterback for the Tar Heels, Harris–a graduate transfer who started 15 games during three seasons at LSU–is the man who many fans expect to see behind center against Cal this weekend.

Harris has career passing totals of 2,756 yards, 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

For the third consecutive season, Spain is set to be UNC’s full-time starter at left tackle. This year will also mark the third different starting quarterback he has protected.

The Charlotte native will also have to take on an increased leadership role with the team replacing four starters on the offensive line.

On the defensive side of the ball, Stewart will spearhead a Tar Heel secondary which has been a bright spot in recent seasons.

His 29 career pass breakups rank third in school history, and he finished sixth on the team with 59 tackles in 2016.
