Saturday’s ACC Men’s Tennis Tournament Semifinals saw the No. 2-seeded Tar Heels post a dominant 4-0 shutout at the Cary Tennis Center over the No. 3 Florida State Seminoles.

After cruising to the doubles point easily with a pair of 6-2 wins, UNC got singles victories in straight sets from Mac Kiger, Robert Kelly and William Blumberg to advance to its first ACC Championship match since 2014.

“Florida State is a really good team, a well-coached team, and we knew it would be a battle,” UNC head coach Sam Paul said afterwards. “We’re happy to be moving on.”
