A dominant all-around performance from the 11th-ranked UNC men’s tennis team on Sunday in Chapel Hill led the Tar Heels to a 6-1 victory over the No. 26 Florida State Seminoles.

The Tar Heels (13-4, 5-2 ACC) won the doubles point, then won the first five singles matches to claim the blowout victory.

With the loss, Florida State drops to 14-7 with a 4-4 mark in ACC play.

“Florida State is better than what they’re ranked, and obviously the ACC is tough,” sophomore Benjamin Sigouin said afterwards. “We started out well with the doubles point and then just kept the energy up for singles.”
