The seemingly never-ending slump continued Saturday for the UNC men’s lacrosse team, which fell 13-12 to No. 6 Syracuse at the Carrier Dome following an overtime goal from Brendan Bomberry.

UNC (6-7, 0-3 ACC) led 12-9 with 7:22 remaining on the game clock, but allowed a frantic Syracuse rally that delivered a seventh consecutive loss.

Back-to-back goals from Brendan Curry in the final minute and a half tied the game for the Orange, with Bomberry finishing the job in overtime–handing Syracuse (7-4, 4-0 ACC) this year’s ACC regular season championship.

Alex Trippi, Matt Gavin, William Perry and Timmy Kelly each scored two goals to lead the Tar Heel offense.
