After a 13-day break from play, Carolina Women’s Soccer is gearing up to face No. 25 Notre Dame on Saturday with a national broadcast at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.

North Carolina (3-2-1) beat the 18th ranked Arizona Razerbacks 2-1 in their final game of the Duke Nike Classic with goals from junior Summer Green and freshman Annie Kingman.

Brooke Elby, senior midfielder for the Heels, was named the defensive MVP of the tournament. That following week, Elby was also given conference honors as the ACC’s Player of the Week. Other Tar Heels on the All-Tournament Team were junior forward Summer Green, senior defender Satara Murray and freshman defender Jessie Scarpa.

Now ranked 9th nationally, Carolina is one of six ACC teams ranked in the Top 25 national poll and one of four in the Top 10, including No. 2 Virginia, No. 3 Virginia Tech, No. 6 Florida State, No. 13 Notre Dame and No. 19 Clemson.
