A grand total of seven UNC field hockey players were named Wednesday to the All-ACC Academic team for the sport, just over two months after claiming their second consecutive national championship.
Seniors Feline Guenther, Marissa Creatore, Catherine Hayden and Yentl Leemans join junior Courtnie Williamson, sophomore Erin Matson and freshman Madison Orobono in earning the honor.
In order to be selected to the All-ACC Academic team, student-athletes must have a cumulative 3.0 grade point average throughout their careers–as well as a 3.0 average in their most recent semester.
Achievements on the field are also taken into consideration. All seven of the UNC players selected were starters in 2019, as the team went 23-0 on its way to the NCAA title.
