Fresh off an exhilarating victory over No. 2 Florida State in Tallahassee on Friday, the top-ranked UNC women’s tennis team remained in the Sunshine State over the weekend before pulling off a 6-1 victory over the No. 27 Miami Hurricanes in Coral Gables on Sunday.
The Tar Heels won the doubles point to begin the match, then went on to win five of the day’s six singles contests.
Earning victories for UNC were: Cameron Morra (6-3, 6-2), Makenna Jones (6-1, 6-3), Alle Sanford (6-0, 4-6, 6-4), Alexa Graham (6-7, 6-4, 1-0) and Sara Daavettila (6-1, 6-7, 6-4).
With the win, the Tar Heels move to 14-0 on the season with a 2-0 record in ACC play.
