The UNC men’s basketball team held its annual awards ceremony Wednesday night at the Carolina Inn, with senior point guard Joel Berry taking home the Dean Smith MVP Award.

Berry led the team with an average of 17.1 points per game this past season, while also earning First Team All-ACC and Third Team All-American honors.

This comes after winning the Most Outstanding Player Award from the 2017 Final Four, giving the Florida native a wide variety of accolades from a collegiate career that was nothing short of outstanding.

On top of that, Berry and fellow senior Theo Pinson were also named permanent team captains.

Other award winners from the night include: Pinson (Marvin Williams Carolina Way Award), Luke Maye (Most Improved Player) and Kenny Williams (Best Defensive Player).
