Sophomore forward Janelle Bailey matched her career high by scoring 30 points on Friday at Carmichael Arena to lead the UNC women’s basketball team to an 85-63 victory over the visiting Howard Bison.
Bailey added a team-high 14 rebounds in the game, while also playing 37 of the 40 total minutes.
UNC (9-5) began the game by falling into a 15-6 hole, but then went on a 14-0 run to take control of the game for the good–earning a victory in its final non-conference game of the regular season.
Sarah Edmond led Howard (7-6) with 16 points.
