UNC freshman guard Andrew Platek suffered a concussion in practice on Friday, ruling him out of Saturday night’s game against Louisville.

The program announced the news on Twitter just hours before the Tar Heels’ scheduled 8:25 p.m. tip time.

A three-star recruit from Northfield, Massachusetts, Platek has seen action in all 27 of UNC’s games this season. In limited playing time off the bench, he’s posted averages of 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per outing.

It’s unclear at this time how long Platek will be out for–leaving the Tar Heels thin in the backcourt with Jalek Felton still suspended by the university.
