The UNC men’s and women’s basketball teams each moved up in the latest editions of the AP Top 25 polls, which were released on Monday. Both teams earned ranked wins during the week.

The men’s team rose one spot from No. 8 to No. 7 in the poll after wins at Pittsburgh and No. 16 Clemson. The Tigers fell in the poll but remain ranked at No. 21. No. 11 Duke is the only other ACC team ranked. NC State, Carolina’s next opponent, received votes but does not appear in the poll. As it stands, the Tar Heels are 2-2 against other teams in the Top 10, with wins over No. 5 Tennessee and No. 9 Oklahoma and losses to No. 4 UConn and No. 6 Kentucky.
