Across the country, households tuned into the last two episodes of ESPN’s documentary ‘The Last Dance’ on Sunday night. The ten-part series chronicled the final season of the Chicago Bulls’ 1990s dynasty, where Michael Jordan led the franchise to six NBA titles.

Many members of the UNC community expressed their excitement, sadness and respect as the series ended, sounding off about Jordan’s accomplishments on their social media pages.

Some posted about their anticipation ahead of the live finale, including UNC men’s basketball Director of Operations Sean May and UNC football head coach Mack Brown.

During the episodes that showed Jordan leading the Bulls to their 1997 and 1998 NBA championships, some former UNC basketball players shared their thoughts about the in-game highlights.

As the final episode ended, many were left with a bittersweet feeling of the series’ end while others reflected on Jordan’s impact on the sport.

Following ‘The Last Dance’s conclusion, ESPN revealed it will air Michael Jordan’s final game as a Chicago Bull later this week, with footage from the documentary edited into the telecast.
