After spending training camp with the Charlotte Hornets, former UNC forward Isaiah Hicks agreed Thursday to a two-way contract with the New York Knicks.
The deal will allow Hicks to play for the Knicks’ G-League affiliate–equivalent to baseball’s version of the minor leagues–with the ability to be called up to the main roster in New York.
Shams Charania of The Vertical was the first to report the news.

Hicks now finds himself in a similar situation to former UNC point guard Marcus Paige, who is playing on a two-way contract for the Charlotte Hornets.
Paige will play most of his games for the Greensboro Swarm, while Hicks now becomes a member of the Westchester Knicks–which play their games in White Plains, New York.
