Former UNC guard Marcus Ginyard–a member of the Tar Heels’ 2009 national championship team–announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he has signed with the Romanian team CSM Oradea.
This will mark the 11th professional team Ginyard has been with in his career, and 10th in Europe–with his only stint in America coming with the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G-League during the 2014-15 season.
During his time in Chapel Hill, Ginyard endeared himself to the Tar Heel faithful with his hard-nosed playing style and top-notch defensive abilities.
The move to Romania will see Ginyard join a CSM Oradea team that is coming off a league championship this past season.
