On this edition of “Inside Carolina,” Jon Seiglie and Don Callahan discuss the current state of recruiting now that Mack Brown is the head coach of the football team. Brown has made two big hires in Tommy Thigpen and Tim Brewster, two coaches who are well-known for their prowess on the recruiting trail. In addition, two coaches who are currently on UNC’s staff are great recruiters, but there is no indication whether or not they will stay on Brown’s new staff.
“A lot of recruiters like to make sure all the information’s out there, make sure you know they’re involved in whatever recruitment. Chad Scott is the opposite. He likes to work in the shadows and he was hugely instrumental for North Carolina in landing (four-star offensive guard) William Barnes and (four-star wide receiver) Antoine Green last year.”
